Ingredients:

Each 5 mL dose contains:  
Iron amino acid chelate (equiv. to Iron 5 mg) 25 mg
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 2.5 mg
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (equiv. Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) 2 mg) 2.5 mg
Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 1.5 microgram
Withania somnifera extract 100 mg
- derived from root dry 1.2 g
Urtica dioica extract 1 mL
- derived from leaf dry 500 mg
Codonopsis pilosula extract 1 mL
- derived from root dry 500 mg
Glycyrrhiza glabra extract 125 mg
- derived from root dry 500 mg
Zingiber officinale extract 100 microlitre
- derived from rhizome dry 50 mg
In a base that includes glycerol, Vitamin C and juice concentrates of grape, beetroot, apple, pear, and lemon and natural raspberry flavour

 

Directions

Adults: 5 mL with water or juice 3 times daily.


Allergen Information

MediHerb FE-Max Iron Tonic is free from gluten, soya bean, milk, lactose, peanut, tree nuts, fish, crustacea, egg, sesame seeds, artificial colours or flavours.

 

Excipients

Apple, ascorbic acid, beetroot, citric acid monohydrate, natural raspberry flavour, glycerol, grape, lemon, maltodextrin, pear, potable water, potassium sorbate, purified water, silicon dioxide, sodium citrate dihydrate, stevia rebaudiana, thiamine hydrochloride.

 

Warnings

  • Contains potassium sorbate.
  • Not for the treatment of iron deficiency conditions.
  • Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
  • Contraindicated in haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis or iron-loading anaemias (thalassaemia, sideroblastic anaemia).
  • Due to Licorice: caution is advised in those taking thiazide or loop diuretics and those with elevated liver enzymes taking immunosuppressives; contraindicated in hypertension and oedema.
  • Caution during pregnancy, long-term use is not recommended.
  • If taking levodopa, levothyroxine, methyldopa, penicilamine, quinolones, tetracyclines, bisphosphonates, and cholestyramine, separate doses by at least two hours.
  • Allopurinol, can increase liver storage of iron and should not be used in conjunction with iron supplements.
  • Not recommended in children under 6 years of age.
  • Monitor patients taking thyroxine.
  • Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
  • If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice.
